Jeanie Tate Goodwin
Partner
Jeanie is an experienced civil trial lawyer who has defended marine employers and ship owners from personal injury claimants, including domestic and foreign Jones Act seamen, longshoremen who work at the dock or on offshore installations, and passengers. She has also defended energy companies in complex commercial litigation.
She graduated from Baylor School of Law in 2004 and is currently licensed in the State of Texas and admitted to all federal district courts in Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Notable work:
On behalf of the International Association of Drilling Contractors, filed an amicus curiae brief with the U.S. Supreme Court in The Dutra Group v. Batterton in which the Court found that punitive damages are not available on a claim of unseaworthiness.
Obtained dismissal in a Jones Act seaman vessel status case and successfully defended at the Fifth Circuit (affirmed) and on petition to the U.S. Supreme Court (certiorari denied).
Successfully challenged Jones Act seaman status in federal court using the Fifth Circuit's Sanchez factors.
Obtained defense jury verdict in heavy weather personal injury case in the Southern District of Texas against plaintiffs' firm Arnold and Itkin.
Succeeded on petition for writ of mandamus to the First District Court of Appeals of Texas on issue regarding independent neuropsychological examination of a plaintiff claiming traumatic brain injury.

Lindsay Altenbaumer
Partner
Ms. Altenbaumer graduated from the University of Houston with honors in 2010. While obtaining her law degree from Texas A&M University, she also studied Business at Columbia University. Throughout law school, Ms. Altenbaumer interned for the District Attorney’s Office in the Mental Health Unit and clerked for a business and commercial litigation firm. She also volunteered her time by advocating for the rights of children through various programs. Ms. Altenbaumer is licensed to practice law by the State of Texas.
Since graduating law school, Ms. Altenbaumer primarily focused on representing clients in personal injury cases involving commercial vehicle accidents and has extensive experience with all aspects of litigation. Currently, Ms. Altenbaumer represents injured workers in Defense Base Act claims.

Susan Swanson
Partner
Susan H. Swanson has over 20 years of litigation experience. While in private practice, she specialized in insurance-related matters; representing clients from both domestic and international insurance markets. She spent a significant amount of time briefing and arguing disputed issues in both state and federal courts. Susan also brings a corporate perspective, having served as in-house counsel for an international energy company where she was in charge of domestic claims and disputes. Susan leverages her private practice and in-house counsel experience to best support her clients as they navigate claims against corporate insurers.
Susan earned her B.S. from Texas A&M University in 1998. She earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2002.

Bekah Krueger
Pre-Litigation Counsel
Ms. Krueger graduated from Luther College in 2004, and obtained her law degree from Hamline University School of Law in 2007. Ms. Krueger is licensed to practice law by the State of Minnesota and the State of North Dakota.
After graduating law school, Ms. Krueger primarily represented Plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice and nursing home abuse cases throughout the country, and is experienced in all aspects of litigation. Ms. Krueger currently represents injured workers in Defense Base Act claims.
